Business Operations Manager

**Job Purpose**

As the Business Operations Manager for MoleMap in New Zealand, you will play a vital role in overseeing the people & financial performance, capacity planning, and workforce management for our clinics across the country. You will be responsible for managing the profit and loss (P&L) statements, driving operational efficiency, and ensuring optimal resource allocation to support the growth and success of our New Zealand clinics.

**Key Accountabilities**

**Leadership**:

- Collaborate with the MoleMap wider leadership team to align business objectives and strategies for the New Zealand clinics.
- Foster effective communication and collaboration with clinic managers, regional teams, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless operations and achievement of targets.
- Act as a liaison between the New Zealand clinics and the central support functions, providing feedback and insights to inform decision-making and improve the customer experience.

**Business Management**:

- Manage the P&L statements for the New Zealand MoleMap clinics, monitoring revenue, costs, and profitability.
- Analyze financial data and identify opportunities to improve financial performance, maximize revenue, and minimize costs.
- Collaborate with the finance team to develop and implement financial strategies and initiatives aligned with organizational goals.

**Capacity Planning**:

- Conduct thorough analysis of clinic capacity, considering patient demand, appointment scheduling, and staff availability.
- Develop and implement capacity planning strategies to ensure clinics are adequately staffed and resources are optimized to meet patient needs.
- Identify bottlenecks or areas of improvement in capacity planning and implement appropriate solutions.

**Workforce Management**:

- Lead workforce planning efforts, including recruitment, onboarding, and training of clinic staff, with the support of the regional team leaders.
- Ensure adequate staffing levels are maintained across clinics, aligning with patient demand and business objectives including the management of absenteeism.
- Collaborate with the Chief People Officer to implement a performance culture with an appropriate approach to optimise employee engagement, productivity, feedback, and performance improvement.

**Operational Efficiency**:

- Continuously assess clinic operations and identify opportunities for streamlining processes, improving productivity, and enhancing patient experience.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement operational improvement initiatives, leveraging technology and best practices across the patient journey.
- Work with the Chief Operations Officer to set key performance indicators (KPIs), evaluate operational performance and implement corrective actions as needed.

**Qualifications and Skills**:

- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Tertiary study in Business Administration, Healthcare Management, or a related field
- Proven experience in operations management, financial analysis, and workforce planning.
- Strong understanding of P&L management and financial principles.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
- Demonstrated experience in capacity planning and resource allocation.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Solid understanding of teaming, and what attributes make a good team
- Proficiency in using data analysis tools and software
- Knowledge of clinic operations in a hub and spoke model is desirable.

You will be a results-oriented professional with the ability to turn strategy into action. You will have a passion for driving operational excellence and understand how to combine people, systems, and process to optimise the patient journey from surveillance, diagnostic, treatment, and recovery.
