The Combined Oncology, Haematology and Palliative Care Administration Service is located at Christchurch Hospital. They are offering a new and exciting leadership opportunity for the right person who is a passionate and motivated leader looking for a challenging role within a large multidisciplinary team environment

As a member of the Combined Oncology, Haematology and Palliative Care Administration services, this role has shared accountability for:
**Key responsibilities are**:

- Effectively leading and managing the administration team
- Embedding a customer-focus within the team
- Support the service of patients and their whanau
- Effectively managing team workload and resources
- Contributing to systems and process enhancements
- Monitoring and reporting on team delivery
- Reports on all bookings and transcription throughput including monitoring to keep within service and MOH guidelines.
- Provides data to show waitlists are monitored, reported and acted upon in line with service requirements.

**This role requires the following**:

- 2+ years' experience leading a team
- Exceptional customer focus
- Experience managing data and a variety of information systems
- High level of diplomacy and interpersonal skills with the ability to negotiate and influence sensitive issues
- Experience leading successful improvement initiatives
- Health sector experience
- A relevant diploma in business or information
