**Job Description** Te Whiwhinga mahi | The opportunity**

Te Tari Rautaki Rangahu Matatika, The Office of Research Strategy and Integrity (ORSI), supports the work of the Deputy Vice-Chancellor Research by enabling the delivery of the University's Research and Innovation strategic priorities and core research service functions.

The University has a commitment to producing relevant, purposeful, impactful research for our communities. The Research Impact Adviser will support the Research Impact Manager by developing resources and tools to provide guidance and advice across the University. They will also be required to deliver presentations to researchers and other stakeholders. Using your previous experience within a research-intensive organisation, you will work closely with other service divisions to support relevant strategic initiatives, including refreshing and implementing the research impact and engagement framework.

Other essential responsibilities of the role are:

- Develop institutional-wide mechanisms, tools, and content for researchers to capture and share their research impacts.
- Provide 1:1 advice and guidance to researchers to plan, deliver, capture and report on impact, especially with regard to impact plans in research proposals.
- Develop and deliver impact training and related researcher and research support staff development opportunities.
- Coordinate the Research Impact Community of Interest and research impact communications.

This is a full-time, 37.5 hours per week, on a permanent contract. The salary range is $80,900 - $99,900 per annum depending on experience and qualifications.

You will have a minimum of at least 4-6 years’ experience in research or tertiary education sectors. With your proven ability to provide expert advice and training, you will be able to guide and support the team around you. You will use your excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to influence positive outcomes to achieve goals.

You will also meet these requirements:

- Have in-depth knowledge of research impact and engagement theory and best practice.
- Excellent understanding of the research lifecycle and processes.
- Self-motivator with strong organisational and project management skills.
