Our Information Lifecycle Management Team is one of the functions of the I&T Directorate at the Treasury. We support the Treasury and the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet to manage their business information by providing expert advice and customer focused tools and processes that are aligned with our Information Management strategy and policy.
Kōrero mō te tūranga | About the Role
We have a rare opportunity for an ambitious Lead IM Advisor to work with the us until 30th June 2024 on the following:

- Lead key IM work products such as updating our Disposal Authority and developing our Disposal and Archive Program,
- Be the focal point for the Treasury and DPMC audits with Archives NZ in May 2024,
- Play a key role in helping us refine and improve our current IM practices and processes.

This role will involve working alongside our Lead Information Systems Advisor and our Information Operations Team Leader to plan and implement continuous improvement activities across the team, and champion information management improvements across our 2 customer Agencies.
Ō pūmanawa | About You
- Experience as a Records or Information Management specialist in a public sector organisation who can motivate and lead others through positive relationships,
- A good understanding of Government information strategies and initiatives, the Public Records Act and other legislation relating to records and information management,
- An awareness of emerging trends in information management, and be willing to share your knowledge,
- Well-developed oral and written communication skills,
- Effective interpersonal and relationship management skills,
- The ability to influence and work with a range of stakeholders.
