Are you an experienced EA with an interest in supporting democracy? If so, read on.

**About the role**:
Tim van de Molen MP is looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Senior Executive Assistant to join his team at the Parliamentary precinct in Wellington for minimum of 35 hours per week.

You'll be responsible for actively managing critical administrative functions for the MP, including diary management, scheduling, travel booking, meeting preparation and minute taking, coordinating administrative activities, and responding to correspondence. This will also include supporting Tim with social media as and when required.

You'll be working at a high level, engaging with MPs, Ministers, constituents, and foreign diplomat staff with respect to the select committee Tim chairs, in a timely manner, sometimes with limited information at hand.

**What you will bring to the role**:
You'll have real-world experience in an EA role, ready to ensure the smooth running of the MP's Parliamentary life.

Your calm, proactive, and flexible approach to work will help you build strong and trusted relationships with internal and external stakeholders. You'll be someone with initiative who can anticipate the 'what if' questions and instinctively know when to escalate issues and when not to.

**Responsibilities**:

- Ensure the smooth operation of the MP's office by providing administrative support including social media support.
- Plan and coordinate the MP's diary and ensure the schedule is followed and any changes are managed promptly, with mínimal disruption to the MP.
- Ensure the MP is always well briefed for each engagement in the diary.
- Coordinate administrative activities in the MP's office including those for meetings, functions and events; including overseeing the collation of invitations, and arrangement of facilities and catering.

**Why work for Parliamentary Service?**
- We offer a range of benefits including 5 weeks' annual leave, an eye and hearing subsidy, and an annual well-being payment.
- You will receive an induction from Parliamentary Service to set you up to succeed, as well as having access to ongoing learning, development, and professional networking opportunities.
- We are proud of He Ao Takitaki (our Te Ao Māori strategy); we offer karakia, waiata, and reo Māori opportunities along with opportunities through other staff networks.
- Our core values are at the heart of how we work: Integrity, Manaakitanga, Accountability, Whanaungatanga, and Empowerment.

As an employee of Parliamentary Service, you will be politically impartial in your role. An awareness of the political landscape will be beneficial in supporting your MP.
