**The opportunity**

Our client is highly regarded as an industry leader across the construction sector. They have an experienced, professional and technical team, making them a leading manufacturer of chosen products for the construction industry.

You will play a key role in deeply understanding the construction market and providing insight to the business that will enable it to continue to deliver appropriate products and service to its customers.

**The role**

The primary responsibility of this role will be to promote and sell the business's products and systems to architects, designers, and constructors of both residential and commercial builds.

You will conduct cost-benefit and needs analyses of existing and new clients to identify areas where the business's offerings can provide value and then use this to influence and complete a sale.

Additionally, you will be responsible for researching internal and industry data on consents and developments to target specific key projects or clients where the business's products and systems may be particularly relevant.

It will also be important for you to obtain and hold quality specifications on projects across all market segments and you will be a key source of information and feedback to management based on customer needs, problems, interests, competitive activities, and potential for new products and services.
- Proven experience and success in a similar role, ideally promoting and selling technical products to Senior Architects and Construction Leaders.
- A qualification or in-depth knowledge of the construction industry, including the Architecture, Design, and Developer communities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the confidence to present to groups.
- A natural relationship builder who understands the value of long-term relationships and how to influence people.
- Strong analytical/reporting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Self-motivated, resilient and results-driven approach.
