**Job Description** Te Whiwhinga mahi | The opportunity**

Ko te whare Pūtaiao |The Faculty of Science is looking for a Faculty Administrator to provide secretarial and administrative support to the Faculty Office and wider faculty leadership. This is a multifaceted role which will have you support a varied group of high-level stakeholders. You will add value through your ability to prioritise and expedite your workflow.

You will be appointed act as committee secretary for a number of faculty committee meetings, provide administrative support to key faculty functions, and provide back-up (as required) to other administrative functions in the office.

Remuneration: $50,700 - $55,000 negotiable on experience and qualifications.

We are looking for someone who loves to communicate with fantastic interpersonal skills. You will need to have the ability to interpret information and display sound judgement whilst also keeping in mind confidentiality and the need for discretion with certain aspects of your role.

This is a position that requires the management of a high volume of demands, so you will need the ability to complete your work autonomously whilst balancing the complexity of team dependent activities.

Your ability to ensure actions are completed or moved forward at the right times will demonstrate your excellent customer service focus, through reliable, efficient, and accurate execution of service deliverables. You add value to the team by connecting with people across levels in a positive manner, as we consider relationship management a key element of the role.

**Nga Pūkenga Motuhake | Important Skills**

To be considered, it is essential that you have a tertiary qualification (or relevant experience) and a proven administrative background providing support to senior managers. You will thrive in this role if you have:

- Experience working with senior managers in an administrative role.
- Intermediate skills in the MS Office suite (esp. Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
- An advanced level of oral and written English Language communication skills (you will be able to take minutes, effective notes, and type quickly and accurately).
- The ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
