This presents an exciting opportunity for a person to become an integral part of the Palmy North City Council team. You can use your skills and experience to actively shape and contribute to your local community. Your primary purpose will be to pursue and secure funding to enable Council projects and events. While also providing the chance to develop your commercial and analytical skills and collaborate with the Procurement team.
Day to day it is expected that you will be:
- Strategically identifying, researching, and targeting funding opportunities
- Preparing, managing, and submitting funding documents to a range of sources
- Engaging and building strong trusted relationships with funders, suppliers, and across the Council
- Providing expert funding advice and guidance to the Executive Leadership Team and wider business
Other aspects of this role could include:
- Providing commercial support and advice on pricing, negotiations, and contracts and other business activity.
- Analysing procurement spend to provide insights and identify opportunities
- Seeking out and researching and providing data insights/analysis for prospective business, and economic opportunities

With an empowering manager, it is anticipated that this person will be a pro-active self-starter, adept at managing their workflow, while always ready to support the team. While this is a full-time position, we are open to considering individuals interested in working 4 days a week.
