Fire and Emergency New Zealand is a Crown Entity established on 1 July 2017 under the Fire and Emergency New Zealand Act 2017. The role of our new organisation is to reduce unwanted fires, respond to structural and vegetation fires and other emergencies including motor vehicle crashes, medical emergencies, hazardous substance related incidents and natural disasters, and to support increased community resilience.

**Mō tēnei tūranga - About the role**

We are actively seeking an experienced OD practitioner to play a pivotal role in developing strategic projects that will contribute to building Fire and Emergency's capabilities, capacities, and culture, to support achieving our strategic priorities.

You’ll have a drive for achieving results, and use your skills in innovation, creativity and collaboration to help us develop strategic OD projects and frameworks that will make a meaningful difference to our people. The scope of your work could include a full range of OD initiatives, from people engagement measurement, to developing new initiatives to support talent, succession, development, culture, diversity and inclusion.

Reporting directly to the Manager of Organisational Development Programmes, this is a chance to develop and manage meaningful work that will make a resounding positive impact.

The location for this role is at our Wellington Office with flexibility to work from home. We value and care about enabling our people to work in a way that means they can work at their best.

- A track record that showcases your skill in designing, developing, and executing OD programmes.
- Expertise in crafting, implementing, and embedding organisational development strategies and frameworks
- A depth of knowledge in HR or organisational development, your depth of knowledge shines.
- Experience in change management and project management
- Has a panoramic view that enables you to grasp the strategic landscape of projects.
- A commitment to enhancing your cultural capability in Te Ao Māori
