**Te Whiwhinga mahi | The opportunity**

Within each faculty, Facilities Coordinators are working to ensure our buildings continually provide safe and effective spaces to work, learn, study and research. We are seeking an efficient and highly organised individual to join our Faculty of Engineering Facilities team.

This position primarily looks after the Newmarket Campus, and provides occasional support to colleagues in the wider Faculty of Engineering Facilities team and our city campus buildings. This role is integral to the functioning of the Newmarket Campus, responsible for making sure the buildings and their facilities are fully operational and remedying issues when they occur. This includes looking after all buildings and their facilities such as lighting, furniture, bathrooms, kitchens and so on, coordinating cleaning, maintenance and repairs, coordinating with contractors and the central property teams, and ensuring a superior level of health and safety throughout the campus grounds. You will work closely with the Receptionist to ensure adequate cover for the reception desk. You will also work closely with the Facilities and Services Team Leader in responding to event queries, and support for office/furniture moves and any special projects.

This is a full time, 37.5 hours per week, permanent role. The salary range for this role is $55,200 - $59,700 per annum depending on experience and qualifications.

**Qualifications**:
**He kōrero mōu | About you**
- Intermediate to Advance ability in MS Office Suite including MS Teams and familiarity with OfficeSpace, and PeopleSoft would be beneficial
- Be highly organised and self-motivated to plan out tasks and meet deadlines
- Be able to prioritise work and shift focus appropriately to ensure any urgent matters are attended to quickly, as required
- Possess strong communication skills and the ability to communicate well with people from all backgrounds
- Have a good understanding of health and safety in the workplace

The following would also be very useful in this role, but are not essential:

- Possession of a First Aid certificate, and having been a First Aider or Fire Warden
- Any experience in facilities or asset management (such as coordinating furniture, maintenance, repairs, lighting, etc.)
- Any experience in events coordination
