**Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity**
The purpose of this role is to lead Te Whatu Ora Business Continuity Management system development at all levels of the organisation. Ensuring the system is compliant with legislation, modelled on best practice fit for the health environment, and ensuring the organisation is prepared to respond capably and responsively to threats and incidents. This role leads the continuity of the organisation and service delivery in an alternate location, during a catastrophic event.
**Ngā pūkenga me ngā wheako | Skills and experience**
- Significant business continuity or organisational resilience sector leadership experience (in the range of 10+ years). Has developed and led National, Regional and Local Business Continuity Management (BCM) projects.
- Strong leadership skills, including leading complex multi-agency/organisational response to threats and incidents.
- Has superior relationship management, influencing, and problem resolution skills. Is capably able to work with diverse groups at all levels of the organisation and with external organisations.
- Experienced in transformation and business change as this is a new role and Te Whatu Ora requires BCM's for the new organisation.
- Leadership level experience and responsibility for managing people, budgets, forecasting, and cost management.
- Proven ability to build capability within teams. Able to maximise the quality and contributions of individuals and teams to achieve the organisation's vision, purpose, and goals.
- Ability to take care of own physical and mental wellbeing, and have the stamina needed to go the distance.
