care and support for affected individuals across New Zealand.

About the role
As the
Administrative Team Lead for the Female Pelvic Mesh Service, you will play a
crucial role in managing, coordinating, and supporting the day-to-day
operations of the service in collaboration with your counterpart in the other
hub. Reporting directly to the Operations/Service Manager, you will be
responsible for establishing and maintaining service reporting, production
planning, stock and invoice management, complaints and compliments
coordination, policy management, and more. A crucial aspect of this role
involves demonstrating a lived experience or deep understanding of the impact
of female pelvic mesh complications.

Key

**Responsibilities**:

- Provide leadership and

guidance to the administrative team under the direction of the
Operations/Service Manager.
- Offer practical
assistance and technical knowledge to support administrative systems in
both hubs.
- Ensure adherence to
Patient Services Guidelines and Process Management for Scheduled Care.
- Manage and support a
diverse team, adapting to the dynamic needs of the national Service.
- Coordinate and deliver
administrative support efficiently, particularly for large service
volumes.
- Maintain strict confidentiality
of sensitive clinical and administrative information.
- Communicate with
empathy and compassion, understanding the consumer journey.
- Lead the team
effectively, managing complex workplace issues independently.
- Demonstrate proficiency
in medical terminology and respect for medical systems and processes.
- Collaborate
harmoniously within the team and contribute positively to the work
environment.
- Exhibit strong
organizational and time management skills.
- Proficiency with
Windows-based software including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint,
Outlook.
- Understand the
background and implications of surgical mesh harm in New Zealand.
- Familiarity with
Ministry of Health elective services requirements.Ngā pūkenga me ngā wheako | Skills and experience
- Minimum 3 years of

recent and relevant administrative experience in a district or private
hospital.
- NCEA Level 2 in
literacy and numeracy or international equivalent.
- 3-5 years of recent and
relevant experience in the health sector, with advanced knowledge of
public hospital patient administration systems and processes.
- Proven ability to lead
a team effectively.
- Strong problem-solving
skills and ability to manage complex issues.
- Demonstrated
understanding of medical terminology and respect for medical processes.
- Excellent communication
skills with a compassionate approach.
- Ability to work
