**Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity**
This role is responsible for managing the national payroll operations for entities who are currently using the AMS system.
Giving effect to the strategic health outcomes of Te Whatu Ora by providing leadership to build sustainability, resilience and meaningful culturally safe connections, capabilities, assets, and services with the good of the New Zealand Public Health System in mind, now and for the future.
**Ngā pūkenga me ngā wheako | Skills and experience**
- Experience (in the range of 10 years) in payroll roles, including at least 5 years in people leadership roles in a large organisation with the experience needed to run a team of 500+ staff serving Te Whatu Ora staff and management with Payroll queries.
- Data-driven decision-making skills, with the ability to analyse service performance metrics and optimise processes.
- Experience developing and implementing effective team strategies and work plans that deliver on organisational objectives.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills are vital for being able to provide clear instructions to the team with varying levels of technical expertise.
- Essential to have a methodical sense of problem-solving, patience.
