**Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity**

This role is responsible for managing the support processes for Payroll and HR Services including national initiatives and any reporting required.

Giving effect to the strategic health outcomes of Te Whatu Ora by providing leadership to build sustainability, resilience and meaningful culturally safe connections, capabilities, assets, and services with the good of the New Zealand Public Health System in mind, now and for the future.

**Ngā pūkenga me ngā wheako | Skills and experience**
- Payroll and HR experience, including at least 3 years in people leadership roles. Experience needed to provide payroll support to one of the largest payroll teams in New Zealand and to identify improvement initiatives and have the skills to implement change on scale.
- Data-driven decision-making skills, with the ability to analyse service performance metrics and optimise processes.
- Leadership level experience and responsibility for managing people, budgets, forecasting, and cost management with experience developing and implementing effective teamwork plans that deliver on organisational objectives.
