Daily tasks and responsibilities:

  • Cleans office floors, break room, and restrooms by sweeping, mopping, spraying and wiping. Follows departmental procedures and standards for cleanliness and performance of duties. Restocks supplies.
  • Empties garbage from designated areas throughout the office. Pulls rubbish and loose cardboard from office floors. Operates garbage compactor and cardboard baler.
  • Checks daily schedule for assigned routine tasks and maintenance repair jobs.
  • Follows safety and security procedures, such as tagging and locking off power access when working on electrical equipment, wearing safety goggles when using compactor and baler, product disposal. Responds quickly to clean up spills.
  • Other light maintenance duties as required.
  • Purchases supplies and parts needed for maintenance/cleaning tasks.
  • Provides prompt and courteous member service.
  • Right to work in Australia.
  • Previous experience as a cleaner.
