- Prepare the paint or other coating materials by mixing them, adding thinners or hardeners.
- Painting and plastering interior and exterior scaffolding as per the client's requirements.
- Assist in rigging ladders, planks and scaffolding.
- Clean brushes, spray painting equipment and tools used in preparation and painting.
- Help to select appropriate materials for painting and acquiring them from approved suppliers.
- Coordinate with suppliers to requests for materials and supplies from the warehouse as and when needed.
- Identify and report the need for major repairs and maintenance.
- Help the carpenters with anything they require, like measuring and cutting materials, and installing structures.
- Assisting with loading and unloading the building and construction materials, tools and equipment and transporting them around building sites.
- Assisting builders in installation by moving materials during material installation.
- Plaster walls, ceilings, and repair cavities in walls and concrete floors.
- Maintain records of the materials purchased and used on each project
- Perform any other tasks as required by the employer
