As a Service Support Analyst you will be providing world class customer service and support to information communication service requests for all of the NZDF.


You will do this by:

  • Being the first point of call for ICS daytoday support;
  • Providing level 1 support and some level 2 support;
  • Resolving at first point of contact or escalating as required;
  • Answering phone calls and interpreting automated support requests;
  • Contributing and updating knowledge articles in the Knowledge Base; and
  • General administrative duties.
This role is based between our Trentham and Petone offices.

There are options for rostered shifts (you will be well compensated) or you can work a 40 hour week - Monday to Friday.

To be considered for this position you will need to demonstrate:

  • Excellent customer service;
  • Strong work ethic;
  • Excellent written and verbal communications; and
  • Great attitude

The following skills are preferable but not required:

  • Knowledge of Service Desk toolsets including on-prem Active Directory, Microsoft Exchange and Azure;
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Office 365 and Citrix;
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Teams and Windows OS; and
  • Experience in an IT environment.

Higher level Security Clearance
- most preferably a NZ citizen who has resided continuously in this country for the last 10 years, OR
- is a citizen of, and/or has resided continuously in one or more of the following countries for the last 10 years: either Australia, Canada, NZ, UK or the USA; and has a background history that is verifiable and can be assessed as appropriate by the NZSIS towards a recommendation of suitability for a security clearance at a higher level.
