We have a fantastic opportunity for someone who is keen to learn, support and provide expert advice within a busy directorate.

Ideally we would be looking for the successful incumbent to join us from February to November 2023.

At Manatū Hauora we are the kaitiaki of the health system, providing leadership and driving strategy and performance. We regulate the health sector and are the primary source of advice on health matters.

Ko tōu ake mahi - What You'll Do
Join a high performing office that provides leadership and support to Te Pou Whakariterite Ratonga Regulatory Services Directorate.

The Directorate lead regulatory systems to ensure that health and disability service providers, and therapeutic products, meet acceptable standards for safety and effectiveness and that providers operate in an ethically acceptable way.

As part of their regulatory stewardship role, they work collaboratively with other agencies and entities to support innovation and continuous system improvement, and to ensure that the regulatory systems can adapt to changing circumstances.

These regulatory settings support the health system nationally to provide quality services for all New Zealanders.

Strong expertise with highly developed skills in written and oral communication and extensive experience utilising these.
Experience providing consistent high-quality advice and support as a trusted advisor to senior leaders, and input into the development of papers and reports
The proven ability to lead and support Ministry/sector wide approaches and ensure delivery and alignment of key work programmes
A team player who enjoys building trusting relationships in a dynamic work environment
