Work closely with the executive leadership team

  • Greenfields role supporting development of our future operating model
  • Great benefits including free life, income protection and trauma insurances
About the role

Our Principal Advisor to the Deputy Chief Executive of Enterprise Transformation has a real opportunity to influence change within WorkSafe as we continue to transform our operating model and ways of working.

Supporting our Deputy Chief Executive, you'll be part of bringing together a new leadership team within a new group at WorkSafe.

This will be an exciting and challenging role, with lots of variety as we find our way.

If you're someone who works well with ambiguity and working things out as you go, this will be a great role for you.

What this means in practice, is you'll be turning thinking into doing, helping others who get stuck in the concept phase to find their way through.

You'll be someone who can break down strategy into executable work while helping people to understand the bigger picture.

In this role, you will:

  • Provide direct support the Deputy Chief Executive of Enterprise Transformation, providing a sounding board, insight, judgement, and advice
  • Provide leadership to establish the group's purpose, vision and operating cadence
  • Ensure relationships across the organisation are maintained and communication clear on behalf of the Deputy Chief Executive
  • Offer thought leadership and look for continuous improvement on culture and engagement within the Enterprise Transformation group
  • Draft decision papers and briefings for the Board, ELT and governance groups on behalf oof the DCE.

To be successful, you will bring:

  • A deep understanding of the machinery of government and Crown entities
  • Demonstrated experience in a similar role, leading critical and sensitive work with strategic implications
  • Proven ability to work with senior leaders across the organisation
  • An ability to think strategically and analytically
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
