Juno Legal is a firm of highly experienced in-house lawyers supporting clients across Aotearoa New Zealand. We were created to deliver specialist, in-house legal support in a new way - that puts humans at the heart of legal.

Our office is based in Pōneke/Wellington along with the rest of our HQ Team. Our Finance Coordinator is going on parental leave in September, so we are looking for someone to backfill this key role until the end of May 2025.

Ko tōu ake mahi - What you'll do
Reporting into the Head of Operations, this role will be responsible for day-to-day operational bookkeeping, regular review and update of financial policies and procedures, and ensuring the appropriate support exists for the team and that correct processes are being followed.

This includes:

  • Lead the monthly billing cycle including timesheet verifications and follow-up overdue invoices
  • Assist with month end processes including reconciling AP/AR accounts, manual journals, tax payments and cash flow forecasting
  • Assist with and help improve monthly reports and financial metrics
  • Coordinating shared office space tenancy matters
  • Be the first point of contact for financial enquiries from internal staff and clients
  • Review and ensure processes and policies are fit for purpose and cost/benefit appropriate

On top of an amazing personality, some of the other key requirements for this role include:
  • Relevant work experience in a similar role dealing with financial transactions and administration
  • Sound understanding of financial systems, processes and controls
  • Attention to detail is second-to-none
  • Ability to work autonomously, show initiative and problem-solve
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong Office 365 and Xero skills
  • Experience working with Invoxy and Spotlight is desirable
Awhe utu - Salary range
The full-time equivalent salary range for this role is $60,000 to $70,000 per year depending on skills and experience.

Juno has a flexible work culture, and this role could be between 20-25 hours per week. Our team can work up to 20% of their time at home or remotely.
