- We have an exciting permanent opportunity for a Strategic Finance Principal Lead, a second in command role to the Head of Finance Business Partnering INZ
- You will work with the Head of Finance Business Partnering to develop portfolio work programmes, priorities and strategy
- Salary range: $132,417 - $160,472 + Kiwisaver + wellness benefits Tēnei tūranga - About the Role:
This is not a typical government finance role - we are looking for a high achiever who can encourage innovation and fresh thinking.

You will lead and promote financial and non-financial performance within the INZ area and provide information, metrics and insight, together with education and understanding, to facilitate improved decision making within the business.

You will be a key strategic financial advisor to the business groups across INZ, and will be working closely with the Associate Dep Sec INZ on a wide range of programmes and initiatives.

You will also be a key relationship and coordination point between the business, other parts of the organisation such as Policy, and the overall Finance unit.

- Excellent relationship management skills & ability to influence without direct reporting lines
- Strong strategic financial management experience
- Experience in large-scale (multi-million dollar) Programmes, projects and business case development
- Experience in leading successful change initiatives
- Ability to see the “big picture” and wider impacts of changes while also able to dive into detail where required
- Understanding of the Public Finance Act and experienced in Appropriation management
- Flexibility and adaptability
- Enjoy working in a fast-moving dynamic environment
- Ability to identify issues and provide solutions proactively
- Strong communication skills both written and oral;
**In addition to be considered you will**:

- Be a business or management graduate with considerable experience in Public sector senior finance and leadership roles
- CAANZ Chartered Accountant qualification (or equivalent)
