The Senior Specialist Risk & Fraud Assurance within our second line of defence Risk team is a key role, working alongside other Assurance team members to enhance IAG NZ's management of operational and fraud risk.


You will work across all areas of IAG New Zealand and make a difference by:

  • Leading fraud-related reviews / initiatives and take an advisory role in change initiatives to ensure fraud risks are considered and managed.
  • Using results of work performed to influence the robustness of risk management activities, documentation and practices.
  • Monitoring compliance with Group Fraud, Bribery and Corruption Standards.
  • Utilising intelligence and analysis tools to undertake innovative and analytical approaches to fraud prevention and detection.

This position is offered as a fixed-term contract opportunity until 31 October 2024, open to IAG office locations within New Zealand.**

You'll also demonstrate:

  • Experience in performing and advising on effective assurance activities in a financial services organisation or professional consultancy firm.
  • High level of personal drive and enthusiasm, ability to engender enthusiasm in others, ability to handle sensitive information with integrity, strong relationship building, and teamwork.
  • Experience in dealing with a range of stakeholders (including senior management) on risk and assurance related matters.
  • Ability to interpret and analyse complex data and issues.
  • Strong communication, facilitation and influencing skills.
  • Relevant degree or postgraduate qualification.
