About the Role:

Our
Climate Credit Risk Specialist will be part of a highly specialised team who strives to deliver the best possible customer experiences, whilst mitigating the banks risk of losses by understanding and managing the credit risk related to climate change within the bank.


This will include:

  • Analysing and communicating climate related risks and opportunities specific to the Home Lending, Commercial and Rural portfolios.
  • Support the Senior Manager in the development of a reporting suite to monitor and inform business decisions based on the impact of climate change risks.
  • Work to understand the integrations and pathways from both a data and process perspective.
  • Preparation and development of appropriate committee papers and external disclosures for senior management.

We are looking for someone with advanced knowledge of Risk Management including understanding of statistics, strong management and analytical skills with good business acumen and experience in development and implementation of technology solutions preferably related to climate risk or credit.


  • Bachelor's degree or above in a numerate field, business, IT, science or related field required.
  • 4+ years of Hazard Modelling, Risk Management, or related climate/data experience.
  • Experience with geospatial data and analysis tools such as ArcGIS is preferred.
  • Ability to identify and articulate strategic opportunities leveraging data to provide insights.
  • Robust data management skills and experience with working with large, complex datasets.
  • Strong communication skills, especially the ability to engage at all levels of a large organisation.
