H & S, Environmental & Quality Leadership

Hamilton, Waikato, New Zealand Greg Tims & Associates Full time

Timpack Industries Ltd has branches located across the country, and has positioned itself as one of the leading manufacturers of wooden pallets and packaging products.

They have been in the business of making pallets since 1984, and believe that a lot rides on a pallet - business, sales and reputation.

This is why they have systems and processes in place across each site that not only enables manufacturing quality to be consistent and high, but it also ensures team members will be safe and well looked after.

Reporting to the Chief Executive, this influential role will be responsible for ensuring consistent best practice for quality, continuous improvement and health and safety are in place across the company, and that the business also complies with all legislative requirements.

There is already a very strong foundation in place, so you will have the opportunity to continue to strengthen this, and add in new perspectives.

You will be expected to partner with the Leadership Team and Branch Managers to enable them to plan, develop and lead the implementation of health and safety, environment and quality (HSEQ) strategies in their areas of responsibility and across the business, including enhancing existing policies and procedures, or developing new fit for purpose ones.

It is also important that you can undertake planned audits to evaluate if HSEQ standards are consistently being met across the business and on all sites.

To be considered for this challenging opportunity, it is important that you have a proven history of having developed and implemented HSEQ strategies, policies and procedures across a multi-site business.

You will also need to have had experience in undertaking business improvement related needs analysis, and then be able to plan and deliver focused, effective and practical skills and knowledge coaching and training for business leaders and staff.

Travel will be required across the branch network, and the role comes with a motor vehicle.

You must be a clear communicator, both written and orally, and be someone who can get on with a range of people at all levels.

It is also important that you are well organised, have high attention to detail, are self-driven and can work autonomously.

A relevant tertiary qualification is highly desirable, ideally with a HSEQ foundation.

This is a unique opportunity for an experienced HSEQ oriented leader, wanting to influence a business at the senior executive level, and to advance their career into a more challenging and senior national role.

You will joining a business that has a strong performance and team culture.
