Role:
  • Manage team to ensure contracts services are carried out on time and to a high standard, and in line with all Health & Safety objectives and requirements
  • Develop and maintain relationships with all stakeholders: Contract Management; Client, Public, Contract partners
  • Manage resources to achieve quality and delivery outcomes required per contract.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for managing team of 1025 staff, leading by example in all aspects of service delivery and ensuring health & safety is prioritised at all times.
  • Establishes and maintains a collaborative working relationship with staff and clients.
  • Ensures staff are fully trained in the requirements of their daytoday work activities, and that team members work in accordance with Company Policies and Procedures.
  • Identify process and cost improvement opportunities, submitting these to the Operations Manager for review and action.
  • Investigate and be involved in the resolution of complaints received from customers or members of the public.
  • Ensure schedules/rosters are worked to; recruiting staff as required.
  • Ensure team members are working to program; ensuring customer specifications are achieved, e.g. undertaking and reviewing team audits and implementing solutions.
  • Use Civic systems (3PM) to review key team areas and look for continuous improvement solutions.
  • Carry out staff 1 to 1's and team meetings as per Civic's KPI's.
  • Monitor and review driver behaviour
  • Be available afterhours for escalation and issue management.
  • Carry out any other work activities as directed by Operations Manager.

Under the direction of their Operations Managers, Supervisors will:

  • Be aware of and ensure H&S regulations and procedures are carried out correctly.
  • Investigate all incidents, accidents and potential hazards, including near misses that contravene H&S Standards. All accident reports must be accurately reported & completed before leaving at end of shift and entered into iAuditor within 24 hours of the incident.
  • Support H&S representatives, by ensuring they are available to attend meetings, investigate incidents and carry out their role.
  • Ensure all new Team Members, Casuals, Temps and Contractors receive an H&S induction covering Hazards, Accident Reporting, Emergency Procedures and general site H&S information as required.
  • Ensure correct personal protective equipment is available and that employees are trained in its use and that it is worn in the approved manner.
  • Ensure all Team Members are trained to carry out their tasks safely or supervised accordingly and training plans are in place and regularly reviewed.
  • Ensure Workplace and Vehicle Inspections are carried out on a monthly basis and any action points are followed up.
  • Ensure that any maintenance issues or defects reported on Company vehicles are assessed immediately, and that the vehicle is not driven unless it is road worthy and safe to do so.

Sales Focus

  • Is Sales aware, looking for new business opportunities and increased work with existing clients, and feeding that information to the Operations Manager and Business Development Manager.
