The key purpose of the Team Administrator role is to provide a broad range of administrative support across different Groups in the Ministry.

This will include financial administration, information and database management, correspondence and travel, diary management, meeting and event coordination and assisting with staff transfers.

Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the role


The Team Administrator provides a variety of general and specialised administrative support services to the Division, Group and the Ministry as a whole.

Each Team Administrator will work primarily for a specific team /division but day to day tasks may change depending on workloads and requirements of both the Group and Ministry.

The administration team work together to provide seamless administrative support across the whole Group. The team report to the Group Business Manager and are guided by the Senior Group Administrator.

Duties include but not limited to:

  • Administration Support
  • Event Administration
  • Recruitment assistance
  • Travel logistics/ general logistics
  • Financial and Procurement support

The salary range for this role is between $55,976 and $62,196 total remuneration, negotiable depending on skills and experience.
The total remuneration is inclusive of our 3% employer contribution.

  • Be a natural planner and organiser with the ability to selfmanage and use initiative.
  • Be flexible and able to adapt quickly in a reactive environment


Ideally you will also have a good understanding of tikanga (Māori customs and protocols), with the ability to weave te ao Māori (the Māori worldview) into your work.
