About the Team:
Business Support is the team which drives the building of our organisational capability in the areas of executive and management support, administrative services, the coordination of various functions including governance support and support for managers and teams with their planning, budgeting and reporting.
What you'll do:
As the Manager Business Support you'll be responsible for creating and sustaining a strong, professional capability to deliver the business support functions across Maritime NZ.
You'll have responsibility for the coordination of the Business Support Group (BSG), ensuring that our business support framework and associated functions remain current, and facilitate the connection between the business support staff and the Organisational Strategy and Systems teams, such as Finance and Information Technology.
What we're looking for:
- Strong business support background in a range of different functions;
- A passion for developing talent;
- A high level of confidentiality and discretion;
- Ability to work well under pressure and to meet tight deadlines;
- Welldeveloped organisational skills and strong attention to detail;
- Strong MS Office skills and expertise and familiarity with document management systems;
- Ability to network and influence at all levels;
- Political acumen and an understanding of the Public Sector.
