Some More Information About The Role


The primary focus of this role is to business partner with Mercury's retail business, working in close partnership with the retail business executives.

The position will be responsible for the delivery of excellent commercial support across the financial, contractual and management aspects of the retail business.

Working in partnership with the General Managers and the leadership team responsible for the design and delivery of the retail and pricing strategy, this position will take a lead role in the commercial success of the Retail business through providing professional financial leadership and overseeing the development of financial processes.

You will also be responsible for leading a team of 6 accountants who look after both the Mercury and Trustpower retail businesses, with 2 direct reports (Finance Managers), so the ability to lead and motivate a team will be crucial.


So Who Are You, And What Is Your Profile?


You will have a minimum of 10 years' experience in a commercial or finance role, with a proven track record in high level business partnering.

You will have a background in the preparation of business cases but above all you will have the ability to interpret and communicate financial data in a way that people understand.

The ability to partner and influence at an executive level will be crucial to your success so a strong communicator is a must for this role.

Mercury will look to grow revenue and achieve high quality performance in the future so you will be a forward thinker with a strategic mindset.
