Education Administrator

We are a large, open space type team who enjoy a good laugh, love people that have character, and promote being our authentic selves at work.

That said, we work exceptionally hard and continuously gain positivity, energy, and inspiration from each other to get through even the most gruelling of days.

This is your opportunity to join a team that will bring out the best in you, in an organisation that aspires to lead change in tertiary education and model modern working practices.

About the role

We are looking for a self-motivated, approachable person who enjoys working in a structured, fast paced and constantly changing team environment.

We continually and passionately work on improving our processes with the final goal of improving student experiences. That is why there are no two days alike and we are very fluid in our roles.

You will have a strong eye for detail and the ability to manage tight deadlines; you will be able to demonstrate a passion for providing solutions to customer's needs while meeting business outcomes.

You will be highly proficient with various computer software programmes, including having a good understanding of MS Excel, enjoy numbers and data and are able to maintain a high level of accuracy.

Ideally you will have a good understanding of tertiary level qualifications and the tertiary education sector - New Zealand and international alike.

We work fluidly as a whole team and take pride in the knowledge we have. No day is alike, and we love to help other teams during busy periods - adaptability and flexibility are essential

The ability to build an instant rapport with our internal and external customers, especially over the phone and proven success within a similar role is beneficial - for all the nitty-gritty details, we will provide training and support.

Who you will work with:

  • A supportive and welcoming team.
  • We work hard and share in each other's successes.
  • We like to laugh together as we get stuck into each new and different daily challenge.
  • We listen to each other, encourage curiosity, and respectfully challenge each other's thinking in a way that maintains our strong relationships as a team.

Wintec can offer you:

  • Flexible working practices appropriate for the role and the team
  • Professional development leave
  • Wellness programmes and initiatives, including: wellness days, employee assistance programme (EAP), and onsite health services
  • Remuneration packages that allow you to purchase additional holiday leave
  • As part of the wider Te Pūkenga network, you will have access to free TEC funded course papers
  • Access to Wintec's extensive library
  • Discounted rates with affiliated Opticians, first aid courses, gyms, health insurance, Hamilton & Waikato bus travel, and much more
**This role is for a full-time permanent role, which equates to 37.5 hours a week spread across 5 days (Monday - Friday).
