**About this role**

We are seeking a Senior Advisor to join our Information management team and play a crucial role in improving information management practices at Te Wānanga o Aotearoa.

The primary function of the Senior Advisor - Information Management is to promote and influence effective information and data management practise that supports business operations and aligns with Ngā Uarā and compliance requirements. This role understands and can explain records and information management requirements, standards and best practices to a wide range of kaimahi.

Key responsibilities include:
**Training Development**:

- Develop online and face-to-face training programs and associated resources to support good information management practises
- Ensure training materials are current, relevant and meet the needs of all levels of staff across our organization

**Training Delivery and Assessment**:

- Coordinate and deliver relevant training programs
- Measure and report on training update quarterly
- Establish a feedback/improvement cycle to continuously enhance training effectiveness

**Policy and Guideline Review**:

- Assist in reviewing and updating organizational information management policies, guidelines, and intranet presence
- Ensure policies and guidelines remain up to date

**Process Improvement**:

- Review business processes and practices to identify opportunities for improving information management capability and records management compliance
- Document recommendations, action plans, and implementation guidelines, sharing them with relevant stakeholders

**Integration of Practises**:

- Work with stakeholders to integrate information and records management practises into processes and procedures
- Implement improved management practises across the organisation

**About you**

**Qualifications**:

- Desirable - Diploma in Information and Records Management
- Desirable - Bachelor in Information and Library Studies

**Experience**:
Essential
- Demonstrated experience (5+ years) implementing information and records management practices
- Experience in development of training materials and delivering training
- Experience in stakeholder interviews, facilitating workshops, documenting requirements, and business process analysis

Desirable
- Experience in implementing information records management practices in Microsoft 365

As a kaupapa Māori organisation, your willingness to participate in cultural activities and develop an understanding of āhuatanga Māori (values, culture and tikanga) is desirable.
