We have a great opportunity for an experienced Advisor to join our team and help deliver our People strategy. You will provide expert advice to our port team while ensuring we continuously improve our processes. We are a thriving business where people are central to everything we do.

We need a super star Advisor to help our leaders navigate people related matters including ER advice, change management, development, performance management and recruitment.

This role is for somebody who wants to make it their own and be a valued team player within a motivated and collaborative team.


Key responsibilities of the role include:

  • Provide practical day to day advice around general people queries
  • Focus on learning & development with our people leaders
  • Coaching to resolve operational HR & ER related issues
  • Provide support to the People & Safety team in the implementation of People strategies
  • Support & drive change and continuous improvement

Skills and attributes, we are looking for include:

  • Demonstrable experience in generalist HR role, including a broad range of HR activities
  • Strong knowledge of NZ employment law and Human Resource management best practices including working with unions
  • Ability to formulate and achieve sound people solutions in a commercial environment
  • Ability to hit the ground running
  • High organisational skills, with great attention to detail
  • Customer focused with resiliency and flexibility
