Ko tōu ake mahi - What You'll Do

Government & Executive Services provide support and services for the Ministers and Executive Leadership Team to enable effective governance, brand and reputation of the organisation.

The Government and Executive Services Group is at the heart of transparency for decisions that Ministers and the Ministry make that impact on the lives of New Zealanders.

The people in the group are experts on machinery-of-government and they work to support Ministers and Ministry through high quality correspondence, Official Information Act requests, Parliamentary Questions, Private Secretary support as well as other Parliamentary processes such as Select Committees.

You'll be supporting the Group Manager Government Services with a range of tasks as well as providing administrative support to the wider team.

Your priority will be focusing on forward planning ensuring the Group Manager achieves their priorities as well as managing correspondence in a way that ensures the Group Manager is investing their time on the right outcomes and deliverables.

This role is a great opportunity for a highly organised person who cares about the 'why' behind processes. Fundamentally the sorts of things this group is responsible support New Zealand's democratic process.
