Ko wai mātou - About Us
At Manatū Hauora we are the kaitiaki of the health system, providing leadership and driving strategy and performance. We regulate the health sector and are the primary source of advice on health matters.

As we move away from the response to the Covid pandemic, now is the time to look to the future to ensure New Zealanders are cared for by a health system that is innovative, future-focused and world-leading.

Ko tōu ake mahi - What You'll Do

The Wellington-based Government Services group sits within the Government & Executive Services directorate at Manatū Hauora and is made up of the Ministerial Correspondence team, the OIA Services team, the Parliamentary Advice and Coordination team, and the OIA Advisory and Complaints team.

Between the four teams, the Government Services group manages processes, training and other work related to parliamentary questions, Select Committees, Ministerial and Director-General correspondence, OIA and PA releases, and Ombudsman complaints.

Our teams provide services which uphold the organisational excellence of Manatū Hauora.

As a Senior Advisor within the Government Services group, you will have the opportunity to be at the forefront of communicating dynamic health system changes to key health sector stakeholders, MPs and members of the public.

You will help lead and mentor the team, while providing excellent advice to the wider Ministry.

In this reactive role, the ability to manage your own workload and to scale up and down as required is essential.

The roles will be based in one of the four teams that make up the Government Services group, though you will be expected to work across all of the teams as workflow pressures dictate.
