About The Role
We currently have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Technical Sales Representative to join the team. Based in Auckland, This role is responsible for the support and growth of ASSA ABLOY products on the interior and exterior of the home for the New Zealand residential market.
Further, you will support the assigned customer base and territory for the OEM & Residential channel. Maintain our existing mechanical sales and grow both internal hardware and smart residential sales.
Key responsibilities include:
- Provide technical and sales support to existing products and introduce new products to customers within designated territory
- Develop and implement call programme to ensure regular contact with customers within territory
- Develop and maintain professional and productive relationships with customers and potential customers within territory
- Assist customers with problem resolution and following up issues
- Influence customer buying decisions by ensuring they have the necessary information about product specification and product range
- Contribute to new product development projects, sales and specification projects
- Support aluminium fabricators, group home builders, pre-hung door suppliers and timber joiners with a regular call cycle
- Coordinate and collaborate with retail sales team to build relationships with key account managers within our trade merchant customer base.
- Learn, support and train customers on a portfolio of market leading smart digital products
About You
The ideal candidate will be results-oriented with a hands-on approach and a sense of responsibility and ownership. You will be a strong team player and able to work collaboratively.
Further, you will have demonstrated:
- Proven success in a similar role, with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience
- Proven track record of success in sales.
- Strong client relationship building skills
- Ability to understand and communicate technical product
- Ability to analyse and communicate market trends and results.
- Sound commercial skills
