Ko mātou tēnei | This is Us
Here at BNZ, it's about more than just banking.

We work together in an agile, energising environment to create innovative solutions through our promise 'If you can imagine a better future, let's find a way'.

We have an exciting opportunity for a
Programme Administrator to join our Product Transformation Delivery tīma (team).

Working on the Core Ledger Replacement Programme, this is an opportunity to be part of a large and critical programme.

The pace is fast, the tīma are committed and there are wonderful learning opportunities along the way.

Mō te Tūranga | About the Role
We sat down with our Principal Programme Manager, and they let us know the following about the tūranga (role).

What are 5 day to day tasks the person in this tūranga will complete?

  • Calendar Management.
  • Preparing forum meeting packs and minutes.
  • Best practice document management for the programme.
  • Resource onboarding.
  • Financial administration.

What is the tīma culture and environment like?
We value everyone in the tīma and will tautoko (support) each other to succeed daily.

We recognise the programme has critical deadlines, we aim for everyone to enjoy being part of the tīma as we contribute to these critical outcomes.

This is a marathon, not a sprint, we tautoko your life outside of work, we value your well being and for you to be yourself at work.

What is your management style?
We are a tīma, and we succeed when we all succeed. I am very open and inclusive and value this approach, I want the tīma to be open and inclusive.

We tautoko each other and help each other each and every day to feel good about being part of the tīma.

I truly believe that work and personal life must be in balance, and I fully tautoko the tīma in achieving this balance.

What do we want you to know before you apply?
There will be peaks and troughs of busy periods. Change is the constant in a busy programme. Be prepared to roll with change and be open and adaptable.

You will quickly become part of the tīma and programme. Our management tīma will be directly supported by the day to day tasks you will perform.

The programme will be supported by your direct involvement and preparation of the many forums required to make a programme of this size successful.

You will be a tīma player and open to seeking out help and also providing help to others, we are a tīma.

What attributes will this person display in order to be successful in this tūranga?
Attitude is key. A dedication and eye for detail. A willingness to learn and to be open and honest if help is required.

Strong verbal and written communication is also essential.

What specific tech skills would be beneficial?
Familiarity to Microsoft tools such as Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint. Any exposure to Confluence and Jira would be valued.
