We are seeking an experienced professional to join our team to provide governance advice and support to MBIE's senior leaders and governance committees.

This is a permanent full-time role and an excellent opportunity for someone looking to gain experience or learn more about MBIE as a whole.

The Senior Strategic Governance Advisor provides governance advice and secretariat support to Mana Whakaruruhau, MBIE's enterprise governance system.

In this role you will be a trusted advisor to the Chairs of the Committees and undertake an important and largely autonomous advisory role, working with Chairs and the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) across the organisation to support their effective stewardship of MBIE.

You will need to be able to keep pace with the time pressures and be flexible to adapt to changing priorities.


This is a fantastic role to launch your career in governance with progression opportunities within the team or wider MBIE depending on your interest.

We will also help you to manage a healthy work-life balance; with flexi-time and some days working from home options to name a few.
