This is an opportunity for a Principal Advisor to contribute to the effective governance and operation of a crown entity in a newly created role. As the Principal Advisor, you will lead governance processes that drive the effective and efficient operations and your expertise will shape strategic decisions and ensure alignment across the organization's governance structure.

This role is part of a wider team that has been created as the organisation uplifts their governance maturity.
As a Principal Advisor, you will provide strategic support to the Chief Executive, Deputy Chief Executive, and Executive Leadership Team. You will work alongside your manager to support the Board and Senior Leadership in meeting governance requirements.
- Shape strategic decisions and cohesion across the organisations governance structure
- Collaborate with senior leaders and stakeholders
- A newly created role uplifting governance maturity

**Responsibilities**:

- Offer expert advice on governance systems and processes, adhering to regulations and guidance
- Work closely with fellow advisors to integrate organizational governance systems
- Elevate governance practices across the organization, continuously fostering growth
- Strengthen organizational governance capabilities by developing awareness and policies
- Forge and maintain strong relationships at all levels
- Lead and nurture the governance system, ensuring quality and consistency
- Actively guide strategic conversations, ensuring alignment throughout the governance structure

**Experience**:

- Relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent experience
- Proficiency in governance systems and regulations
- Proven expertise in providing secretariat services and senior-level advice
- Experience working collaboratively across an organization
- Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills
