The Independent Police Conduct Authority (IPCA) is an independent body set up by Parliament to respond to and, where required, investigate complaints about Police conduct.


The Manager:

Corporate holds a pivotal leadership role within IPCA, with accountability for the continued development and delivery of a fit-for-purpose corporate function that helps enable a high functioning organisation to deliver its strategic objectives.

Reporting to the General Manager who reports to the Board Chair, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of the corporate functions for IPCA

These functions include:
finance, communications, planning, Machinery of Government, accountability, organisational performance, procurement, human resources, IT, facilities, and office management.

You will provide both strategic and operational advice and information that informs executive decision making by the Chair, Board and management team.

Being a small organisation, you will take a hands-on approach to delivering some services and manage the delivery from providers for outsourced services.

You will be a pragmatic and solutions-focused person, who strives to optimise performance and delivery of results.

You will bring a wealth of financial, business, and operational management experience and have the ability to lead and inspire others to deliver high levels of operational performance.

- experience in providing operational and strategic leadership
- strong experience with public sector / Crown entity planning, accountability, and reporting processes including managing the production of accountability documents such as the Statement of Intent and Statement of Performance Expectations, and reporting, such as regular financial and performance reports and the Annual report
- proven ability in leading teams to deliver outstanding services that translate into improved business performance
- demonstrated interpersonal skills in building and sustaining relationships externally and internally
- a tertiary qualification in finance or business management
- highly developed writing skills.
- previous experience providing advice and support to a governing board and management team
- strong analytical skills


Ideally you will have experience in leading a corporate services function though this role will also be well suited to you if you have experience across some of the accountabilities and are looking for the next step in your career with the development of broader corporate responsibilities.
