We have an opportunity for a Senior Corporate Lawyer to join the team for a
fixed term period ending 6 December 2024.

This role will provide support and advice on significant litigation and dispute resolution for BNZ. Our Lawyers focus on delivering valuable and pragmatic commercial and legal outcomes for BNZ and our customers.

We spoke with the Head of Legal - Dispute Resolution (who you'd report to), and she gave us some great insight on what to expect with this tūranga (role):

What are some day to day tasks the person in this role will complete?

  • Managing significant litigation and regulatory enquiries involving the Bank.
  • Advising on complex disputes involving the Bank.
  • Providing preventative and compliancerelated advice to key business units across the Bank.

What is your management style?


I thrive on cultivating the potential in others, by recognising that each person has unique qualities and identifying how different people can work best together.


What attributes will this person display in order to be successful in this role?

  • 5+ post qualification legal experience.
  • Experience with a midtop tier law firm and/or major corporate organisation as an inhouse lawyer.
  • Experience in working on and managing litigation/dispute resolution matters.
