He aha te mahi? What's the role?:
The purpose of the Sustainability Business Analyst is to provide sustainability performance insights to Zespri and the wider industry, and to support the implementation of the sustainability insights and performance strategy

This includes:
analysing data, maintaining relevant systems and processes, and providing advice on emerging ESG trends and reporting standards.

Your key accountabilities will include;

  • Supporting the implementation of the sustainability insights and performance strategy
  • Work to gather, analyse, interpret and present the sustainability data to demonstrate the impact and progress of the kiwifruit industry sustainability strategy
  • Work crossfunctionally to understand businessreporting requirements and proactively provide analysis, advice and information to Managers to assist with decision making and optimisation of results
  • Support with the development of appropriate sustainability reporting tools, models, processes and databases for Zespri
  • Support the company's various reporting and administration cycles, including preparation of papers for Executive and Board meetings, contributing to the Annual Report and providing analysis support to the Sustainability Team (e.g. budgets and forecasting)
  • Support with appropriate business case analysis to build support for key projects in the team or the business

You will be analytical in your thinking, have interest in technical solutions and the ability to communicate concisely.

You will also meet the following selection criteria:

  • An accounting or relevant business tertiary qualification necessary
  • Sustainability or environmental qualification desirable
  • Advanced Excel, Word and PowerPoint skills
  • Ability to understand and document reporting systems and processes
  • Ability to manage and manipulate large data sources and display data in simplified forms
  • Adept at responding to queries, report writing and presenting findings
  • Understanding of issues of data ownership, privacy and protection
  • Strong team player with accountability and good communication skills
  • 23 years' experience in finance or business analysis projects
  • Experience working with sustainability and/or environmental reporting standards, guidelines and frameworks preferred, such as Integrated Reporting, GRI, TCFD, GHG Protocol
  • Demonstrated ability to work with multiple stakeholders to identify solutions to complex problems desirable
