**He aha te mahi? What's the role?**:
Part of the Financial Planning team, this key role will support the successful forecasting, analysis, payment and reporting of Grower Payments to Zespri management, the Zespri Board, Board sub committees, and the New Zealand Kiwifruit industry. Reporting to the Grower Payments Manager, the Assistant Financial Analyst will provide support, and assist the two Financial Analysts in the team to forecast the fruit service and incentive payments, including forecast season cashflow, and the forecast and recommendation of discretionary fruit payments. The Analyst will also provide backup to the payments function.

The core responsibilities of the role will include;
- Supporting the Forecasting of fruit, service and incentive costs
- Communication of forecast payments to the New Zealand Kiwifruit industry.
- Provide inputs into industry documentation.
- Liaising with the Financial Accounting team and external Auditors to provide relevant grower payment data and analysis.
- Reviewing and reconciling grower payment system data with the EDI and SAP teams.
- Ad hoc analysis of industry payments.
- Reconciliation of relevant General Ledger transactions and accounts and preparation and posting of journals to correct any inaccuracies.
- Preparation of annual grower payment audit confirmations.
- Other ad hoc financial analysis, and project work as required.

- 1-2 year’s relevant experience in a similar role.
- Strong Excel, Database, Word, and PowerPoint skills.
- Financial analytical skills.
- Experience with accounting software packages and forecasting tools.
- Exposure to a large ERP system will also be highly beneficial.
