**He aha te mahi? What's the role?**:
The Insurance Analyst is in the Commercial team, and part of the wider Supply Chain function, who are responsible for managing the Zespri Global Insurance programme.
This key position will provide information and analysis to support the placement of insurance policies and valuations of small to potentially large multi-million-dollar insurance claims. The Insurance Analyst’s primary role is to support the Insurance Manager to ensure that Zespri has appropriate insurance protection in place and applies best practice claims handling and management processes.
You will provide analytical support to the Commercial team as required to service Zespri’s Insurance Broker, Insurers, 13 key fruit suppliers, the Supply Chain department and the wider industry.
Your key accountabilities will include:
- Management and handling of all insurance claims (including marine cargo claims).
- Work with legal counsel and cause experts to achieve comprehensive claim responses.
- Document and publish claim procedures to ensure stakeholders have necessary information in the event of a claim.
- Support the preparation of reports on the status of all claims and values.
- Contribute to and edit the publications issued as part of the Annual Insurance Renewal Programme.
- Preparation and delivery of presentations for growers and insurers.
- Organise and arrange workshops and training.
- Provide reporting to Zespri’s management, the Board, and industry groups.
- Respond to insurance and claim/loss queries.
- Adhoc Commercial analysis when required.

We are looking for an individual who has advanced analytical skills which allow for the breakdown and understanding of various forms of information to aid good judgement and decision-making. You will also have:
- A minimum of two years working in a corporate/commercial analytical environment.
- Advanced Sharepoint, Excel, Word and PowerPoint skills.
- Ability to manage and manipulate large data sources essential.
- Superior relating and networking abilities, building long-term relationships, managing conflict.
- Kiwifruit Industry experience and knowledge is preferred but not essential.
- Insurance experience preferred but not essential.
- A tertiary qualification in Business or a related field.
