About the role
We're on the lookout for a highly motivated and inspiring Sales Lead to join our Wellington-based team. This role is all about leading, coaching, and supporting the regional sales team to achieve collective success. You'll foster a high-performing, customer-focused culture, provide day-to-day leadership, and ensure your team consistently delivers exceptional outcomes. Alongside your leadership responsibilities, you'll also actively manage your own sales portfolio - helping to meet regional targets and maintain strong client relationships.
What we're looking for
- Proven experience in sales roles, ideally with team leadership responsibility
- Demonstrated success in achieving sales targets and developing high-performing teams
- Strong commercial acumen and customer engagement capability
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills
- Tertiary qualification in Business, Sales, or related field preferred
What you'll be doing
- Be able to clearly articulate technical solutions to customers in partnership with the sales team, and being able to articulate the needs of Government and Enterprise customers back into the business to further develop those technical solutions
- Leading, coaching, and supporting the regional sales team to achieve collective targets and foster a high-performance, customer-focused culture
- Providing day-to-day leadership, mentoring, and performance management to team members
- Driving recruitment, onboarding, and capability development for the region
- Ensuring the team delivers exceptional customer experiences and outcomes
- Promoting consistency in sales methodology, reporting, and CRM usage across the team
- Collaborating with marketing, technical delivery, and sourcing teams to support solution delivery
- Actively managing your own sales pipeline - prospecting, developing solutions, and closing deals
- Driving achievement of individual and regional sales targets across all product and service lines
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with key customers in the region
