Youngman Richardson  import and distribute a broad range of machinery and equipment that has been utilised in the hire, construction and agricultural industries for over 40 years  We are a privately owned, well reputed family business and conduct our business with ethics, great customer service and top quality products.

An opportunity now exists to join the sales team in a territory covering the West Coast of the lower North Island up to Taranaki and includes Wellington based customers.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Selling the company's Construction Product Range to the Hire Industry, Contracting and Construction Industries, including Generators, Pumps, Compaction & Husqvarna Construction Products.
  • Responding to key sales leads and seeking out new business opportunities.
  • Maintaining the CRM system, meeting sales budgets and set KPI's
  • Product demonstrations.

The successful candidate will :

  • Be an outstanding communicator that can build rapport at all levels.
  • Possess proven sales experience.
  • Be consistently willing to go that extra mile for their customers and their team, proving their commitment to exceptional service delivery.
  • Be able to autonomously and successfully manage a sales call cycle.
  • Possess a keen attitude and willingness to learn the technicalities of the products and use this to sell the right solution.
  • Be confident about playing with the products to understand their capabilities.
  • Be excited to do product demos and close sales.
  • Possess a genuine interest in the construction industry and relevant experience with the company's product range will be an advantage.

Your client base will be the broad range of contractors you would find on a construction site and being able to tailor your approach to these different audiences, will be your strength.
