About the role

We're looking for a Software Sales Consultant to drive the full sales journey — from prospecting and lead generation through to solution presentations and successful deal closures.

Reporting directly to the COO, you will work closely alongside all areas of the business to generate new opportunities, nurture the pipeline, and engage with schools across New Zealand.

Key responsibilities:

  • Prepare and deliver engaging software demonstrations tailored to each school's needs
  • Generate new leads, qualify opportunities, and manage the full sales cycle to exceed targets
  • Collaborate with marketing to align campaigns and implement lead-generation strategies
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with school leaders, decision-makers, and sector partners
  • Stay informed on market trends, competitor activity, and changes in the education landscape
  • Prepare detailed proposals and respond to RFPs and tender documentation
  • Track and report key sales metrics, pipeline health, and forecasting accuracy to management
  • Work cross-functionally with product and customer success teams to ensure smooth onboarding and handover of new clients
  • Provide regular feedback from prospects and the market to inform product development and positioning
  • Contribute to the ongoing refinement of sales processes, collateral, and go-to-market strategies

Your experience and attributes:

The ideal candidate will bring:

  • Exposure to (or experience with) highly configurable, multi-user software
  • A high level of confidence, initiative, and charisma when engaging with prospects
  • A desire and willingness to travel nationally as required
  • Minimum of two years' experience in a sales-related role
  • Strong presentation and communication skills, with a willingness to learn
  • Integrity, accountability, and a drive to deliver on commitments.

Full product training will be provided.
