About the Role

Te Whānau o Waipareira is seeking an experienced and committed manager to manage our three Whānau Care Residential Homes. These homes provide a safe, supportive and culturally grounded environment for whānau with complex health and social needs.

As Residential Homes Manager, you will ensure high-quality, person-centred care that upholds kaupapa Māori values, strengthens whānau wellbeing, and delivers positive outcomes.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Leading and mentoring kaimahi and Team Leaders across all homes
  • Overseeing day-to-day operations, compliance, and quality standards
  • Ensuring safe, trauma-informed, and mana-enhancing care for residents
  • Managing budgets, resources, and reporting to senior leadership
  • Building strong relationships with Oranga Tamariki, Te Whatu Ora, health providers, and community partners
  • Driving continuous improvement, innovation, and whānau-centred service delivery

What You'll Bring

  • Registered practitioner (Social Worker, Nurse, or similar)
  • 5+ years' experience in management with operational, financial, and people leadership responsibilities
  • Strong knowledge of trauma-informed practice and therapeutic care models
  • Proven ability to embed kaupapa Māori values and tikanga into everyday mahi
  • Excellent relationship-building, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • A clean, Full NZ Driver's Licence and ability to pass police vetting
