Overview

  • Lead a service that puts whānau at the centre.
  • Manage three Whānau Care homes that support people with high and complex health and social needs.
  • You will combine people leadership, clinical oversight and operational management to deliver safe, culturally grounded care and stronger whānau outcomes.

What you'll do

  • Provide clear leadership to Team Leaders and kaimahi across three homes.
  • Manage day-to-day operations, rosters, budgets and reporting.
  • Maintain regulatory and quality standards across sites.
  • Embed trauma-informed, strengths-based and mana-enhancing practice.
  • Build and maintain relationships with Oranga Tamariki, Te Whatu Ora, health providers and community partners.
  • Drive continuous improvement and ensure whānau voice guides service changes.

Who you are

  • Senior registered practitioner in social services or health (e.g., Registered Social Worker or Registered Nurse).
  • Minimum 5 years' management experience with operational, people and financial oversight.
  • Practical knowledge of trauma-informed and therapeutic care models.
  • Demonstrated ability to embed kaupapa Māori values and tikanga in everyday practice.
  • Strong communicator and relationship builder.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
  • Clean Full NZ Driver's Licence and willingness to pass police vetting.
  • Understanding of the Tāmaki community preferred.
