St Hilda's Collegiate is a school with a proud heritage in Ōtepōti of excellent education and high quality facilities.

St Hilda's is seeking an experienced and strategic Senior Property Manager to take comprehensive oversight of its campus and the Tolcarne boarding facilities. This leadership role ensures our facilities meet the requirements of the Board, staff, students, and the wider community.

Reporting directly to the St Hilda's Principal and the Tolcarne Director of Boarding , you will drive the strategic planning, maintenance, and development of all grounds, buildings, and plant.

Key Responsibilities

Strategy & Budgeting: Develop and monitor an ongoing 10-year maintenance plan and budget for all assets.

Maintenance & Compliance: Cost-effectively maintain facilities to prescribed standards. Ensure compliance with all Health & Safety , regulatory, and building W.O.F. requirements.

Project Oversight: Be involved in the planning and costing of new projects and developments.

Team Leadership: Supervise and train a team including a Property Officer and part-time cleaning, laundry, grounds, and garden staff.

Required Expertise

We are seeking a positive, flexible, and approachable leader with:

Technical Authority: Sound knowledge of building compliance codes and best practice.

Safety Focus: Good understanding of health and safety legislation in relation to facilities maintenance.

Financial Acumen: Experience keeping within approved budgets and obtaining competitive prices for purchases and sub-contractors

Leadership Skills: Ability to effectively supervise a team and ensure staff are trained in safe work practices.

This is a permanent, full time position with an appropriate remuneration package.
