St Mary's Catholic School is looking for a dedicated Caretaker to for 30 hours a week to join our team. Help us ensure our school is always a welcoming and well-cared-for place for our students, staff, and wider school community.

About the Role

Our Caretaker is a key player in the daily life of our school. This vital role involves maintaining our grounds, buildings, and classrooms to a high standard, ensuring everyone enjoys a safe, positive, and inspiring environment for learning.

As a Catholic School, the successful candidate must be willing to support and uphold the school's Special Character in their work.

We Are Looking For Someone Who Can:
  • Apply proven practical maintenance and repair skills.
  • Work independently while also collaborating effectively as part of a wider school team.
  • Demonstrate a strong work ethic and excellent reliability.
  • Carry out Health and Safety checks and routine inspections diligently.
  • Use a solutions-focused mindset and strong attention to detail to address issues promptly.
  • Be friendly, trustworthy, and take pride in their work.
  • Maintain great communication skills to liaise with staff, students, and the wider community.
  • Respond to property-related requests from staff in a timely manner.
Essential Requirements:
  • Experience in a maintenance role.
  • A Full, clean driver's licence.
  • Successful applicants will be required to undergo Police Vetting in line with school policy.
