Enable New Zealand is a Crown-owned entity on a mission: to support disabled people and their whānau to live everyday lives in their communities. We do this by effectively managing access to assistive technology equipment, modifications, and information services on behalf of Disability Support Services (DSS) – Ministry of Social Development (MSD), Accident Compensation Corporation (ACC) and Health New Zealand.
With our head office centrally located in Palmerston North, we deliver services to thousands of New Zealanders each year as Aotearoa's largest assistive technology and equipment provider.
Mō tēnei tūranga mahi | About the role
We're looking for a highly organised and proactive Executive Assistant to support our Executive Leadership Team, including the Chief Operations Officer, Chief Experience & Engagement Officer, and Chief Technology Officer.
This role is pivotal in ensuring the smooth operation of executive functions, providing high-quality support, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives. You'll be the go-to person for coordination, communication, and administration, helping our leaders stay focused on delivering impact.
Ngā mahi haepapa | Role responsibilities
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing executive-level support including travel coordination, meeting preparation, and inbox management.
- Drafting and managing correspondence, reports, and presentations.
- Coordinating meetings, agendas, and minute-taking.
- Managing document systems and ensuring accessibility.
- Supporting internal and external stakeholder relationships.
- Facilitating continuous improvement and project administration.
- Upholding Health, Safety and Wellbeing practices and the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi.
Ngā āheitanga matua | Key competencies
We're looking for someone who brings:
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Proven experience supporting senior executives in a fast-paced environment.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and make sound decisions.
- A proactive, solutions-focused mindset.
- A relevant tertiary qualification and experience in the public or health/disability sector is desirable.
